Eimear has had 1 big runny nappy and 2 smaller ones as well.

They drank/ate as normal this morning and just now Aoife vomited after 60mls and up came her solid breakfast as well which they got at 9am.
Eimear refused her bottle after 20mls and won't take any water either.
I'm not happy with the heaviness of the nappies either.

*sigh* Off to ring Plunketline again.

DH is teaching a diving course this weekend so I'm on my owneo.

When Aoife was vomiting all over me I'm sure we were thinking the same thing. " I want my Mammy" At least it was true for her! LOL! It's times like this I wish I wasn't on the other side of the world. At least these times are only 1% of the time. haha!!

Overall they're in ok form, Aoife is a bit grouchy but Eimear has improved from yesterday.

Ok now that Aoife has had time to recover from her upheaval I'll try them with bottles again.

Oh Maya, what's hte story with Nannies and sick babies? Mine started on Thursday and is due to come again tomorrow.

Hope the girls continue to get better, tummy bugs are nasty.

All three of my big girls have been hospitalised with gastro at one time or another and the first thing they do there is syringe fluids (water or pedialyte) into them at a rate of 5ml per minute, so now if they are sick and I think they are getting dehydrated I always try that first - I'd much rather do it at home than in hospital!

Were using Nutricia(?) Soy one until last week.

Well she took 100mls over an hour but her temperature has gone up. I've been on the phone to Plunketline and have given her Pamol. They said just to monitor for another bit and as long as she's hydrated then she's ok for now.
She just had a 45min nap and is now happy in her cot.
Aoife has a runny nappy too just now so hmmmm.

Once DH is home in a couple of hours we'll re evaluate. I'm happy with them here but if need be off to after hours we go.

Spencer stopped drinking altogether and the doc gave us some paedialyte to syringe into him and said that even if we had to do that every 20 mins with him throwing it back up it was better than nothing. Also you can test to see if she is dehydrated by pinching the skin on the tummy and seeing how long it takes to spring back, it should go back really quick if she ok. (same test as what the do on the back of the hand for adults)
You can just buy paedialyte over the counter, its pretty cheap, about $12.
If concerned though better to get it checked out as things can go downhill quickly when they are so little.
