Gripe water was our saviour! The midwife taught us newbies some different ways to burp too like putting her tummy down over our knee and rubbing (similar to tri pillow idea), lifting her a little from under the arm pits until she relaxed and then hug her on your shoulder to gently press her back to get a burp.

She is much better at burping now, so there is light at the end of the tunnel

If you go to Hardy's at the Base, the woman there had a windy baby too so can totally relate and gave me really good advice.

Found this one by accident. Pop bubs on tummy over a pillow (tri-pillow is really good as he's supported on each side and it's really plump). I think it's because back is really arched that does the trick because within a few seconds Keiran will let out a big burp. I leave him there for a few minutes as he finds it soothing and usually you can hear tummy starting to make gurgling noises and farts popping out. Be prepared for a bit of spillage tho.

Edited by erinalba

If you're worried, maybe take him to the doc or talk to your nurse about it.
