Hi all,
newbie post here.
we use a double side by side mothers choice pram. it's good, and didn't actually cost much, it fits in the boot too!!

i saw a a bugggy at farmers in bayfair MT Mounganui yesterday and i really liked it it was that steelcraft or strider or something like that but its is like the phil n teds sport one it looked cool.

Yup, the multiple birth clubs hire them, as do Baby on the Move. the other day I saw someone pushing double snap and go wheels with 2 capsules in it - one in front of the other. It was pretty long, but not too wide. Oh that is awesome, I was wondering about getting that pram but was reluctant cos I couldn't find a shop to test drive one.
Where did you buy it from? I have seen them on babyuniverse but wonder if one of the shops stocks them so we can give it a test drive.

Cuppatea, it looks a good buggy - can it take a toddler seat though?

Ive just bought a Pedigree buggy - double side-by-side and I love it already. Doesnt fit through all standard doorways - but I have figured that a lot of the time I wont need it to. However, it is fantastic for outside and so easy to manouver. I also love the carrier basket underneath - it is so spacious. What about this one link It is available out here through babyfactory and baby on the move, I just posted that english site as they have 3 different angles of it.
We are thinking of getting this one, not for twins but for two close in age. It's really light weight, easy to move and folds up really small (well really small compared to the other twin buggies).

If you are looking for a double stroller, side-by-side, be aware that some brands dont fit through standard doorways for example, Milano brand from Babycity. Also take into account toddler seats if you need one. I have discovered that most brands dont have toddler seats and I suggest choosing a brand that does make a toddler seat to match. A good brand is the ABC (adventure buggy company) buggies, they do various sizes and with toddler seats (can get up to 4 children on the one buggy).

hey linda, congrats on the twins. another option if you really lke the P n T would perhaps be ire adouble MB from the multipple birth club for the first little whil i'm pretty sure they do hireage. Emma you may know a bit more? But the other option would be to use a sling so that one baby is in the buggy & one is in the sling & you coulalternate them that way? just a thought. i don't haev twns but have used the MB & personally found it a pain. Also, nto sure where you live, ut i do know of a second hand one which is for sale. easonably good condition, but the lady hasn't had chance to put on TM yet as i was interested in it a while back. I my mountain buggy. It looks bigger than it really is and fits through 98% of doorways. I think it's 7.5cms.

We have Ford Focus Station Wagon and it fits the buggy. We are thinking on getting a Toyota Previa as the space in the back seat is currently lmiited

It's all about personal choice really. The dbl mountain buggy is awkward to lift in and out of a car but it's a breeze to maneuver.

Yep, I've got a Phil and Teds but when my girls were newborns I had a side by side (Babylove Duolite) and it was a PITA! I didn't get the P and T to start with coz it can't take two newborns, I didn't think of doing what Floss did and putting them both in it side by side - what an awesome idea! Hi congrats on the twins!

My twins are 10mths today and we have had a Phil & ted single with the toddler seat right from the start.

Thanks. Very consious of the boot size and because we already have two kids we are looking at a people mover - probably the Mazda MPV. With Phil and Teds, I'm not not sure if you can use them for newborns. I had a double mountain buggy when Ryan and Katelyn were newborns and it was great. I then sold it for a double stroller, but i wish i had kept it and had both.
The only thing i would say is do you have a big boot? We had a holden commondore and i had to fight with it to get it in the boot.

Congrats on the twins Linda.  There are a few twin mummies on here who I'm sure can help.

From what I understand double mountain buggies are only 5.5cm wider than singles (that's about the width of the short side of an eftpos card) so if that's all you're worried about it may still be worth checking out the mountain buggy range. 

Tishy has a double MB for her girls so she may be able to give some advice and I'm pretty sure that Emma (aka Maya) used a P&Ts for her girls so maybe check with her too.

Dh and I have been researching double buggies and am having trouble on deciding on options. Can anyone recommend an option for newborn twins? I like Phil and Teds but from what I can see they are not suitable for two newborns. We're not keen on the double Mountain Buggy - it would be two wide for our streets!
