We have used silver nitrate countless times, but it never did much. Beware that it stains everything terribly- including the durrounding skin and clothing- it doesnt come off the clothes, but will wear off skin eventually.

The only other option we were told was to use liquid nitrogen but I will not let them dot his to Isla. Isla's is still quite vascular, It still quite often bleeds a little from rubbing on clothes. Our Paed said Isla isthe oldest child hes ever known to have one, and usually they go with sliver nitrate.

It went grey and came off, now she's sweet.
Another friend of mine had the same thing with her bubs earlier in the year. Funny, I'd never heard of it happening before and now everyone seems to have it happen!

I had silver nitrate used on me to burn back some hypergranulation around my tear and it did hurt a bit but that was because of where it was (ouch). It stopped hurting after about an hour and I was still able to move around and sit down etc. so wasn't horribly bad.
