Although I have two boys at 18 months, they were both really different. jake loved the duplo, wooden blocks and ride-ons. taine on the other hand loved those big Tonka trucks, tractors etc.
Musical toys were also big hits.
We're going on a bear hunt - our favourite ever book

The best investment in toys for our boys were wooden coloured blocks and duplo/lego. so we have got for Ella for Christmas...a playhouse, little people stuff (kmart had a good price on some little people building blocks), a doll, and we found from kmart a kids CD player with some CDs (she LOVES music). Also picked up an art easel which we have started using now.
