In fact I used to love cooking..but since Blake arrived, I totally hate it ....he has an alarm clock that goes off and about 4:45 and stands at the gate into the kitchen waiting waiting.....

I still hate dinner-time to this day.  If Dh is home, it's fine.  He can cook while I feed Jett & bath the kids, or vice versa.  It's when he's late home that I almost crack under pressure.  Usually the older 2 have to wait while I sort Jett out & get him in bed.  Then dinner gets cooked a little too late (around 6pm) and eaten around 6:30pm.  I'd rather we all were eating at 5:30.  But that's not the case most of the time.

I was really worried bout how I'd feed #3 with the othe 2 around but so far they've both been really great and understanding. They help bring up her wind and we read sometimes which makes them feel included. I think the age gap has a part in how you deal with 3 kids.  I think if Rico was just a bit older, as well as Gia.  She was still very young when #3 came along.  Taking 3 out to the shops, even now, is quite a mish, and I don't do it much.  I will only do it if I'm only doing one thing at the mall, not my groceries, or shopping for clothes.  I don't mind taking all 3 to visit people though.  They are very well-behaved most of the time, so isn't that bad.  It's getting them all ready to get out the door that's the most tiresome.

I've coped OK with taking 3 out, at the supermarket the gremlins go in a twin trolley and Maya walks, and other places I use the buggy, altho it is getting harder as they get faster and I get slower with being pregnant.

Well we are about to have number 3 and at this t stage we are hardly go out all togther anyway and we can fit 3 carseats along the back and have no air bag's in the front we will need to get a bigger car, but jsut can't afford it right now so this one will have to do. I don't know what it's like with two coz my 2 and 3 came as a package deal, but it's definitely full on! I just keep telling myself that the crazy baby stage only lasts for such a short time, particularly since #4 is about t be thrown in the mix.

The hardest part for me has been coping with toddlers whilst being pregnant. I don't have good pregnancies and I have found myself resenting the baby more than once for making me feel too crappy to really enjoy the other three kids. But again, it is only a short stage and will all be over soon.

We did go with a people mover when we went from 1 -3, I had a tiny Polo which we had to sell anyway so we figured might as well do the people mover thing.

In terms of cost, it's really only recently that I've started finding three really expensive coz the little ones are now eating more. We do cloth nappies which saved a lot and if you can breastfeed that will save a bit too.

Thanks everyone. I find it quite busy with 2 so I can imagine 3 will be very busy. I didn't find it too bad going from 1 to 2 but found it really hard going from 0 to 1. It was a big shock to the system. We would have to get a bigger car as well. My 2nd has multiple allergies so we will be having a bigger gap between her and the next one. I was just curious as to how others have found having three. I found the transition from 2-3 easier than 1-2 because I already had systems in place, etc, and was gaining confidence. That's not to say that three is easy though, it's a lot of work to keep up with all their different developments!  I wouldn't say going from 2-3 was easier, as it made things much more busier, but I had more confidence in what I was doing 3rd time.  I didn't stress as much about feedtimes, and let baby tell me when he was ready. 

 

Gia was 22 months when Jett was born, and was just getting easier to manage with her & Rico.  Put Jett into it, and I had barely enough energy to look after the 3 of them, even now! 

 

BUT I love having 3 kids!  I'm glad Jett came along when he did.  But I don't think things are easy by any means, I'm busy all the time.

So far I'm loving having 3 kids and would agree the going from 2-3 is easier than from 1-2. We weren't planning the 3rd but now feel like our family is more complete. When number 3 came along my eldest was 3 1/2 and 2nd 2yrs 1 month so all quite close. Don't get me wrong it has it's moments where all 3 decide that they need you at once and you feel like pulling your hair out but that happens with 2 also. As for the car we went and got a good old odyssey to enable room for extras when needed. we got a new car- the people mover kind because it was the easiest option for us with all kids still in carseats at the time and it had the added bonus of spare seats for my parents etc.. and then once the 4th came along there was no problem for seating lol.

We didn't bother getting a new car, we did look into but decided to stick with the Caldina. I'm going against the trend so far. For me going from 2 to 3 was as hard as going from none to one.
1-2 = 3yrs 3 months
2-3 = 2yrs 3 months
Maybe it was because the age gap was smaller, maybe because I had one at school, one at kindy and trying to fit sleeps for the baby around that. The first year was definitely the hardest, but like you I didn't feel my family was complete with two. Having a bigger car wasn't so much of a problem until they were bigger and harder to separate.

Hmmm well given that number 3 is definitely on the way...and might I add has caused MAJOR havoc with my body than either of the others....I cant quite make up my mind!!! Sometimes "Oooh cant wait to meet him"...sometimes think "OMG"...what are we doing given all the price increases...extra nappies...food...etc. We were definitely thinking we need a new car but just cant afford it now so will be making do with my car.....If we go out as a family well we might be a bit tight! Poor old Paige will have to squeeze in between her two little brothers car seats. Paige is a huge help but I sometimes feel bad she is not getting enough time .....
I think for the next couple of years it will be madness and quite hard work but DH & I generally very good team so will no doubt puddle through it all and out the other end!

i LOVED having 3 my 3rd wee girl fitted into the family really well- her big sisters looked out for her and accepted her. i found the transition pretty easy from 2 to 3. my gaps were:
1-2 18 months
2-3 27 months

after a while though i did start to think that an even number would be better so that kaz didnt get left out and i have just had my 4th

Ummm I love it. I however had the advantage the my kids all have HUGE age gaps... wasn't my ideal, but you get what you're given.

Conor is wonderful with both kids. Nyah occasionally does suffer from middle child syndrome and Cooper is so cruisey he had no choice but to fit in with us.

I think if you are wanting #3 think of the dynamics etc of how #3 will fit into your lifestyle. Also can you afford it? Do you have the room?

I don't have three, I'm still adjusting to two, but have heard and read many times that the move from two to three kids is much easier than from one to two. Just thought I'd throw that out there! Hello,
I have two wonderful children and can't stop thinking about having another one. Dh said if I really want another that is fine with him and we are not planning to ttc for awhile. MIL told me however that the third one puts a spanner in the works and that two would be much better. I was just wondering what others experiences of having 3 kids are?
