Didn't matter if he was crying or anything else, I just did it. That was after my mum had given Jack and I a talking to about his mummy needing food and sleep. You do what you need to do to survive, as long as he is safe it doesn't matter.]]>

Crying for a little while won't hurt Thomas at all but time out will give you time to recompose yourself and get something to eat to refuel.  I left my eldest for 20mins once (mw was there and trying to teach me about controlled crying etc) whilst I sat outside, had a cup of tea and got myself together again.  But yeah, rocking in buggy can work a treat, as well as front packs and slings which give baby similar sensatin as when in tummy giving you freedom to move and carry on with whatever you want.<br /><br />Lol Maya bout the screaming thing (neighbours part I mean, not the kids crying for 20 hours). I wouldn't leave him in there for hours on end, but you need a few mins break so fair enough! My gremlins once screamed for 20 hours straight, I ended up completely losing the plot and sitting on the driveway screaming at the top of my lungs, I'm suremy neighbours thought i was a nutcase!<br /><br />Maybe once you've had a chance to regroup, put him in the buggy and rock him for a while and see if that will get him to sleep. Otherwise, if you've got a front pack or sling that might help.<br /><br />I'd def recommend calling your m/w too coz she will have some more ideas.]]>

Everythings alright, he's not got a temp, he's fed, dry etc but he's doing that thing where when you dont look at them they are quiet, then when you look they start crying etc. Also when he's crying he's not going red in the face like they do when they're actually upset.. <br />Is this the right thing to do? I know he's only little and cuddles dont hurt, but if I dont get to have dinner soon, i'm gonna starve to death (he's been doing this since 1pm this afternoon and HASNT slept) I've been awake since 3am this morning with him, managed to get him to sleep when I missioned out to get groceries, but that's it. He's so overtired poor little mite. ]]>
