nzpiper-exactly one always needs to be sure and if i get BFP-i will be testing every morning just to make sure-until i can clearly see my belly growing and a baby in the scan.

GUESS WHAT

The lovely people at ministry at health can't tell the difference between OPK's and HCG tests. So I have discovered after just opening the box. I have more OPK's than HCG's- but in total close to a 1000. I have to sit down now and count them all.

So ladies, i have OPK's and HCG's needing a new home.

That's crazy! Make sure you email the company you bought them off and tell them you only got pregnancy tests and not OPKs so they send them to you - hopefully they'll send you 1000 of those too. Maybe sell them on trade me - 10 for $20 or something? Oh my god! That is bizzare that your tests got stopped I always order mine online and they always arrive within a week. Maybe whoever you ordered yours through wrote "tests" on the customs declaration or something. Mine had "cosmetics" written on it. I didn't realise there were such strict rules

Lol just finished reading the thread (I really should read things properly before writing anything!) Maybe your doctor will buy the 1000 tests off you! I wonder if someone is going to get in trouble for sending the wrong thing!!!

thanks emmacat-how are things going with you.

The guy just called me back-guess what i got sent nearly a thousand pregnancy test and that is not what i orderd i ordered ovulation test and certainly not that much . So yeah now i have to give this guy my doctors details-and he will send the test's to my dr and then i can have them-man so not what i needed today.

Alexbabe- that SUCKS. I would totally go to fairgo. That is so weird too!  If customs don't have a problem then who is it that does? SOunds like someone at Post opened the package and in their ignorance sent them off, maybe unaware of what they were?! No wonder you're feeling low. Is there anything else you can do it the interim? Like order some more of saveontests? Or ride this cycle out and try other methods to detect ov? Boy I would be ropeable about this in your shoes.  It's not like you can make anything out of opk's?! A box of them is hardly like importing a box of codral or anything. jeez.

emmecat i know-i mean its not like im taking them-it does not get put in my body.

I got them from ebay in canada-they have a fertility store.

Im not waiting for the guy to call me-hubby was like should take it to fairgo-cause its just crazy-customs did not have a issue with it, sigh

Now i just feel really low today after speaking to that guy and just soooo deflated.

That's weird!!! I just got my ov tests yesterday from saveontests.com. About 8 days after I ordered them!  ALthough I didnotice that the guy labelled the package as 'cosmetics'. Hardly medicine though?! Oh no alexbabe, that is terrible!!! I have never had any problems with receiving tests from overseas before, I wonder why they suddenly did that? Which site did you use? I hope it all gets sorted out and you get your tests ASAP!

Okay,well i decided i would try and save some money and get my ovulation test and pg test's online. I paid for them and they got posted all good.

I then started to worry when it has been a month to get the goods and have not heard anything at all. I then did some running around and was told by NZ Post that the goods have been handed over to Ministry of Health. I then had to call them and apparently there is a issue with bringing in tests as it is considered a medicine. Now this guy will give me a call and was told i would have to maybe have a meeting with them.

Aaargh-this is so frustrating for me and i just really feel like crying. Sorry for the moan session but i just needed to get it off my chest-cause this has just burst my bubble and all i want to do is cry now.
