Years ago I found out I had chlamydia and have no idea how long I'd had it - was married at the time (and he completely denied giving it to me - as you would) and had only really been in serious relationships before that (serious to me, anyway ) so how I got it is a mystery. But I had a HSG done a few months ago, expecting the worst, and everything is completely fine. But the sooner you have the test, the sooner you know and the sooner you can start treatment if you need it.
Fingers crossed for you!

Edited by catie

Not long after, he also slept with a friend of mine. She contracted Chlamydia and just found out. Her scarring is so bad the doc has told her she'll need IVF and the chances are slim. I'm worried i'm in the same boat.

Are there visible signs on the cervix with aged chlamydia? I've had a few colcoscopys and Lletz procedures in the last couple of years. Do you think they would have picked up on it then?? I've had lots of smears for CIN3 but never asked for an STD test.
