I wonder if she'd fit ditto's pattern... I had a mum from TNN make me up some for a swap and they are great. They are a really nice OSFM nappy which is really trim. They fit better than most of my sized nappies!! I think they're a small-large medium, so should fit your girl.

You'd have to join TNN and PM Ditto if you want the pattern, it's free, but not public.

Just wanted to add... you don't have to be good at sewing to make your own. I haven't sewn since I was about 12 (and I wasn't any good then!) and I managed to make pocket nappies which are working brilliantly, I got the instructions from the nappy network website. It had photo instructions which were totally essential for a sewing/nappy virgin like myself. My first nappy was a bit of a flop because I was trying to get the hang of sewing elastic... but apart from that, it worked wonderfully and surprisingly well. However you have to order the PUL online, and I bought the inserts instead of making them, but it still worked out to be about $8 a nappy and in the end it would take me about 2 hours to complete one. But as I said, I'm not a sewing person... AIO's are the trimmest but like Kellz said they don't last as long on so you would need more and they take longer to dry.

I think that for simplicity and trimness you can't go wrong with a mf/hemp combo trifold. Foxybots sells them and they're brilliant (probably similar to Ecobubs?). It's all in one and is much more absorbant than mf alone.

My favourite daytime nappies for trimness are Honeychild or Fuzzis. But my favourite nappy for nights (and still very trim!) is a Foxybots minky pocket. The hidden waterproof layer is better than any PUL I've seen before and has a HUGE pocket for boosting overnight. I use a Foxybots mf/hemp trifold with a Nix-Kidz hemp fleece trifold underneath. Leo goes 13hrs overnight in this nappy.

My trimmest (and also very absorbant for AIO) nappy is a bitti D'lish, but they are $34.50 + postage. Mother's Instinct sells them in her store, and sometimes on TM. There's one left on Trademe with free shipping at the moment... medium fuscia. They are bamboo, so take a while to dry, despite the inserts snapping out, but for the size they are very absorbant.

Oh yeah, and I second the not buying velcro thing... Seb would have a velcro nappy off in under a minute, pants or not!

Other companies make them too, but I havent tried any others. You will be able to use the inserts from your smalls in the larger pockets too, so you will be saving $$ there! Haha! Yeah I didnt like them as much until I borrowed some of Emma's ecobubs inserts. Found these hold way way more than just mircofibre, and are slimer.

The least bulkiest would prob be AIO's, but I prefer pockets cos u can adjust the absorbancy to suit. Never find that AIO's last as long as my pockets- we use trifold hemp/microfibre inserts from ecobubs.

I know quite a few bubs around 1 year + who can now undo aplex fastenings, so have to only use snapped nappies,..so bare that in mind when buying the next lot! Isla is 17 months and doesnt do this tho.

And encase u read this Emma, yes we are back in cloth,...had 7 weeks mental health leave from cloth and went to sposies! Good to be back! Lol

Now that Arabella is nearly out of her current cloth nappies I am wondering what to do next and have a few questions. .

What is the least bulkiest type of cloth nappy (I have been using pockets)?
Is it worth trying a trial kit this late in the game?
How good at sewing must you be to make your own?

Any other helpful hints would be much appreciated. TIA
