I wouldn't worry about it, not much you can do about it now. cuppatea..no..he was trying to be helpful as he knew the issues i was having:( oh crap..he defrosted it in warm water...then put it in the fridge for 24 hours then we used some...:( have we put him at risk?

Fresh it can be stored for up to 3 days, so long as it was put straight in there and not mixed .. ie you can't epress at 7am, and then express at 3pm and add them, adding warm milk to cold is a no-no.

But, yes, anyway frozen needs to be used within 24 hours of coming out of the freezer.

Anything that has been defrosted by using warm/hot water needs to be biffed... once it's been warmed it shouldn't be used again.

I think when defrosted the rule for storing it in the fridge is the same as when it is fresh.
