We only got this every now and then but it would last for at least a couple of hours and mainly at night.

If you can before the screaming starts you could try lying her on her back and moving her legs in a peddling motion, this can help get the wind up.

For us, I think that it is actually related to what I was eating. Have steered clear of anything resembling curry, butter chicken, tandoori etc and the wind has stopped. Am too scared to try eating it again to see if that is the answer or coincedence. Will have to wait till I stop bf

Sitting him up straight was the best burping position for us. If I couldn't get a burp and knew he had wind, I'd lay him down for a few seconds then pick him back up and that usually got it.

Hopefully it gets better for you soon. Maybe try to avoid chocolate, tea/coffee/cola and citrus fruits in the mean time (if you're bfing that is). Its been so long since I had to burp Jake now - I think he burped himself by about 3 months.

Tom hated being on his tummy across my knees even though he loved tummy time. and I couldnt master sitting him up to burp him. So much so that she's really unsettles at night and it takes us a good 3 hours to get her down after feeding. She's not as bad during the day time feeds, but she's definitely unsettled.

We'd been giving her gripe water for about a week before then, but decided that it wasn't helping.
My MW suggested Infacol. We started giving her that on Tuesday evening but on Weds and Thursday nights she's been screaming for about an hour after feeding and not bringing up a huge amount of wind.
We'd get her down after a further hour or two (!!!), but only after putting her into her basinette and getting her up again because the wind keeps coming up and waking her again. (same goes for the 3am feed - I've been up since then trying to settle her)

Anyway. Long story short.
Has anyone else found either of these products to be more of a hinderance than a help? Any tips?
And other products? My mw mentioned some homeopathic remedies and to talk to a health store...
