And she used to be feral from then until about 9pm when either she or i was too knackered to keep going and one or both of us gave in and went to sleep.
We had a lot a take out and reheated meals during that time
Keep with it it does get easier around 3-4 months, when she gets used to being awake more during the day and learning that night time is for a big sleep. Fay now sleeps from 6pm - 7am (except tonight when i have only just got her down for some reason all she has wanted to do is slap my face and chest all night, weird child)

Edited by Redbedrock

As a Mum of a baby who usually only sleeps for 45 mins at a time during the day I say DON'T wake a sleeping baby! If Megan is happy during the evening and you can manage to get dinner cooked, eaten etc then I would suggest waiting it out.
You might find that a crockpot helps. I often use one, I put it on during Jack's morning nap or if he is happy to play quietly by himself for a while. Makes life easier at night time

All babies do it, usually in the evening but sometimes in the morning instead. It's totally normal for them to have a longer awake period and be unsettled at the same time each day, especially if you have a good daytime routine. My Maya used to be dynamite between 4-7pm, she fed 3 hourly like clockwork and slept beautifully all day but then in the evening she turned feral. I used to feed her at 4pm, give her a top up feed at 5.30pm then a bath and bottle and bed at 7pm but in between I pretty much had to lug her around the house with me. She grew out of it as she got older and was happy to be awake for longer.
