Apparently the outcome of that report was that there is no proof that Tea Tree oil is responsible for affecting boys in this way. Also Melaleuca have never had any cases reported of this happening with their products.

I use huggies bath gel stuff with a wee dash of baby oil. I used to use nothing but I love the smell and it doesn't irritate my 2 at all. It works like an online internet catalogue company. You can also turn it into an work from home business. Basically to get the wholesale/best prices you pay a joining fee of $49 and you get catalogues and such and they set you up to order online. Then you have to spend $100/35 pts a month which is really easy. We are on one income and have had no problems, as we get only food from the grocery store now. We get toothpaste, shampoo, make-up, vitamins and cleaning stuff from melaluca. Plus you have 90 days to finish/try everything when you order it to return it for your money back.

I have a couple freinds who are worried about $$ and aren't sure if they want to have it as a regular commitment so i order it for them and they just pay me back for it.

It is lovely and really gentle, I love the house hold stuff, we bought through a friend who was trying to set up a business, but you have to spend a certain amount each month, and it got expensive when we dropped to one wage. melaluca is the australian tea tree but I just discovered greenbeans sells organic NZ tea tree oil from manuka and kanuka. Hi Guys, Boy do i have the best answer on this one for everyone! Melaluca! it has changed my life... its a company that sells child/animal safe cleaning, laundry products, vitmans and make-up. My freinds baby had excema all over her body and is now using the lotion and pretty much has no excema, my husband has psorisis on his scalp and the same thing after using there shampoo.

All the laundry products are so soft and beautiful on your cloth diapers and clothes,

Our house has never been so clean and eco freindly its such a great healthy safe environment! Like alot of other parents we don't use anything on Jack either. I use nothing on Josh now. He has aqueous cream when his skin gets a bit dry but just water in the bath. Once he starts daycare I will have to do a bit of trial and error with him to see what works for his skin.

We have been using the ecostore baby sleepytime bath, but we dont use soap or body wash on him. We do use the ecostore baby moisturiser for his massage after his bath though, and he smells delicious!!

I say nothing too. Babies don't get that dirty.We don't use anything yet as I think when we tried a couple of things she reacted a little.

I would say not to use anything for atleast the first few months. We would only use the tiniest bit of the Ecostore shampoo on Sam to begin with - no soap at all. You could always use a wee bit of olive or apricot oil to massage into the babies skin if it gets dry. Stay as natural as possible though.

Now Sam is a bit older we are using the J&J Soothing naturals range which is fantastic! Water! We still dont use anything to wash Isla with, and shes 15 months! Have ecostore shampoo which we use about once a week as her hair is longer now and gets lots of food in it! We are in love with soothing naturals. It smells nice and works really well!! It's got rid of all traces of excema from Daniels skin - he use to have it above his eyes and on his legs but its all gone. I have sensitive skin so have always been very careful what I use on Gina. We use a brand called Mustela from the pharmacy - it's a bit pricey but we've never had any problems. I've decided to post in this thread and take advantage of all you experienced mums!!
I want to get some baby cleansing stuff for when baby arrives, but I want to get some that is more anti-allergen, gentle, maybe a bit more natural and not too lavender (I love lavender but sometimes it's just over powering), etc. Mainly because when DH was a baby he had quite sensitve skin and also prone to exzema.
