I just took the same folic acid as Kawwww did and it was fine, Elevit is WAY to expensive for me and DF, I am on Iron pills now anyways. I'm taking the 5mg APO folic acid, prescribed by the doctor, it's 90 tiny pills for $3. My iron count etc is always really high, so there's no way I need to take an iron supplement so I don't need the elevit. Do you take the tablet with a meal? I found that one time I had a tablet without anything to eat first thing in the morning and that made me feel sick (with first pregnancy). I'd take Elevit but find I can't stomach the tablet when I'm pregnant - it's quite big.

I'm on elevit - its quite expensive, but I'm not taking any other vitamins and its got lots of good things for you for life in general!

Might go and chat to the chemist again then and try a different one. What about Elevit? What's so special about that one?
