I got mine back after five months, was still breastfeeding, but Caleb had slept through from about 8 weeks.

I got mine about 2 weeks after I stopped b'feeding Gina so I'd say it's normal you haven't got it back if he still has 6-8 feeds a day.

Char is almost 11 months old, and I haven't had it back, although I had breakthrough bleeding aq few months back, spotting for a few days. Got it back 2 weeks after stopping feeding Jacob at 10 months. I remember something about using BF as contraception and you had to be exclusively feeding (ie no solids) and feeding through the night so I guess that is where the 6 hour thing comes in.

Eeeek, Tom is just starting to stretch out the night. mine just came back and I'm fully b/feeding (i think it's due to the recent 6-8 hour breaks at night). I'll be interested to see if it kicks straight into a regular pattern though. I got AF back the month after Josh stopped feeding from me. He stopped at 7 months and at 8 months I got the wench back.

I am BFing and still haven't had one. Been told by other mums on OB that monthly's start again when mums have a regular break of more than 6 hours between feeds/expressing. Not sure how correct this info is, but a number of mums here have said that would have been roughly correct in their case.

What a fantastic by-product of BFing aye?!?!?

Hey all, just wondering ....how many of you have menstruated since having baby and how long after having baby did you get it...And are you breastfeeding?

Out of all my friends I seem to be the only one that hasn't had my period since bub, and he is one of the older babies! I am breastfeeding at current....around 6-8 feeds per day depending on how solids are going (some days still have no luck with them).
