I don't think that it matters what formula you switch him to. If you want to you can. We kept our boys just on the plain ones and they are fine. When I get the formula packets thou I get the gold ones.

Alex is going to be 6 months in a few weeks' time and he'll need to go on to a follow on formula. Does it need to be the same one as the starter formula he's on?
