I got diagnosed at the start of the year with it being really high (twice what the healthy level is) next check it had slightly dropped but last weeks monitoring showed it had gone up again, so I'm being referred onto a Cardiologist and Dietician.

There is a history of this problem in my family (from what I know, I'm adopted but do have contact with my birthfather) and this is the suspected reason why I've got the high cholesterol (still have to be careful about diet tho).

I was told earlier in the piece if I couldn't get my levels down by diet control alone I would likely get placed on medication - however, it is unsafe for use during pregnancy so the whole fact DH and I are right amongst TTC makes things a little tricky...

Has anyone else faced this dilemma and can offer me any any advice?
