It's very easy to get low on B12 with pregnancy and breastfeeding. Health shops have "B12 drops" which have 500mg of B12 in them (chemists only sell 100mg supplements which is ass), they are tiny pills and fix your B12 levels up really fast and make ya feel tons better if thats your prob.

Should take my own advice as I ate a toblerone for lunch!!!

What is B12? I had some blood test recently cos of period and ovulation pain etc and they found I'm aneamic have been taking the tablets but don't feel any less tired or run down. And yes I know eating a toblerone for lunch would not help but things have been crazy today and it was eat that or eat nothing.

He had the 12 week one at 11 weeks. Normally Tom only cries if he is hungry so today when he cried I put him on boob and he fed happily. Then I have left him to play on his mat etc for a while and then after he has been up for an hour I have been putting him back to sleep and rubbing his tummy till he falls asleep (seems to be most effective way of relaxing him. dont know whether it is pressure on tummy or the noise from my hand on the blanket). I guess I will go for little and often. He seems happy enough after a wee sleep.

I have been eating a lot of chocolate lately...ooops. Must get onto GP about my iron levels. I am so tired all the time that I am snacking on the wrong foods. Maybe Tom is asking his mummmy to start eating better.

I think all babies just go through stages of being unsettled for one reason or another, but it doesn't usually last longer than a few days...so if its been longer than that, you might want to sort it out with your GP...

The poo thing could be because your milk does change to adjust to the needs of your little one i.e gets fattier, etc. Just wondering if that has anything to do with it. Also, Tom is 3 months...had you noticed whether he has had his 12 week growth spurt, because obviously it can be any time around that 12 week mark.

Otherwise, perhaps you need to try something different to try and get him to settle e.g. swaddling, music

to you. Its horrible when they are unsettled and you just can't figure out whats going on . I'm sure Tom will be fine, and just needs time. Perhaps offload him to someone for a couple of hours to give you a break...?

Yesterday he was awake for 8hours!!!! I am at my wits end.

He also has some pretty smelly poos. He is breastfed and poos about every 3rd day. He no longer has the little seeds in them. Is this normal. There is no mucus or blood in them but they no longer smell nice and grassy. Instead they range from down right foul to vinegary.

Is this all normal and just him changing into his own little person. He still feeds well and sleeps well at night (once we get him to sleep - he used to go down at 7pm without a fuss). He seems to be growing and is smiley even when he is crying if you can distract him. Even when he is really going for it, if I come in and pick him up he stops....has he finally learnt how to get mummy's attention.

Bottom line..Should we go to GP. I dont think there is much a GP could do. But your experience is appreciated.

Thanks
