Congrats Zebra, she is lovely. I thought 7lb 8oz was enough for me, i'm sure I would have gone for another CS if he had been any bigger!!!

Well I got my VBAC , it ended up being a forceps delivery but it still counts!!

My waters broke at 1am and I rang my MW at 1.40am just to let her know. She rang me back and said she wanted me up at the hospital for monitoring by 3am, (had an overnight stay due to high BP, pain along CS scar and early contractions the week before). By 5am I was 5cm dialated and by 8am fully dialated and fully effaced. Only problem was no baby, he was sitting too high, so had to sit in an awkward postion for an hr to see if he would start to come down - which he didn't!

The Ob came into it then and started to get me to push to see if he would come down........1.5hrs of pushing later there was only the smallest bit of his head showing when I pushed. Had an epidural which for a while only one side had no feeling so was still feeling every contraction till that got sorted. His heart rate was starting to get a bit slow so my choice was a forceps delivery or a CS. (was told it would be another couple of hrs of pushing if he lasted that long)

Joel was born at 11.04am, weighing 7lbs 8 oz and 54cm long (10 days early)

Came home the next day, hes feeding great, pretty settled and happy.

Am very pleased that my MW was supportive and I was able to have this sort of birth, (despite the stitches!) and I feel so much more in control of everything compared to last time.

Just going to add the the little monster feeds so strongly that he has cracked one of my nipples and am now having to express every 3 hours to feed him with a bottle to give my bits a break!! Was in tears this morning for the whole feed it was so sore, he has had no problems taking the bottle, (and Leah was fed the same way for the first couple of weeks) i'm hoping that a couple of days rest will sort it and hopefully my milk will be in a bit better so he won't munch as much

Red Dragon - its hard when things don't go how you planned, (neither of mine did!) but soon you will have your baby. An elec CS will give you an easier recovery but only because you haven't laboured first, and trust me a complicated Vaginal birth ain't all its cracked up to be either!! - as I sit gingerly on the edge of my seat to type this without annoying all the stitches!!! Good luck it will be over soon.

Am still waiting here, but baby has dropped this morning compared to yesterday so hopefully it won't be too log. Still have to see the MW every couple of days after last weeks issues but yesterday all was good, and today I feel the best I have in weeks  - maybe that means something (heres hoping!!)
