Ouchy nose! I watched her do this about 1/2 dozen times on the 3 steps at my bosses place today.<br /><br />They both sit up from lying down tho, they started that well before they crawled, probably about 8 months. They pull to stand but can't stand without something to pull up on.<br /><br />Maya never learnt to roll over at all till after she crawled, she hated being on her tummy so there was no incentive to roll. She learnt to go from tummy/back to sitting shortly after she crawled, and she learnt to stand unassisted about a week before she walked unassisted, we were sitting out on the lawn one day and all of a sudden she was standing up and there was nothing around she could have pulled up on. ]]>

I found that book What to expect the first year - to make my worries worse - although Jake was advanced with motor skills and generally did those things early, his verbal skills are/were behind his peers.]]>

I know it is hard though! For example, I have on a handful of occasions found her either sitting up or standing up (sometimes even OUT of her sleeping bag altogether) in her cot after a nap. ]]>
