Hope everyone is having a great time either being new mums or enjoying their last days before D day.

Mattias is doing great, sleeping exceptionally well and gaining weight.

induction will be July 7...really want bub to come naturally before that though! Purely because it changes everything...where we are booked to have the baby and it becomes more obstetric care at waikato Hosp rather than with midwife at the birthing centre.

BUT, in saying that, the best thing will be for bub and me to be healthy and happy, so if thats the way its meant to be...so be it!

Morning!

I am good - no more regular BHs though....what tells me this is going to be a slow process

Good work Tammy - I need to get motivated now...DH arrives tonight so no more delaying the labour process. I am not sure he understands that no matter what I do bubs will come when he comes.

I think he thinks I can magically start labour and if I don't its because I haven't tried hard enough.
Aww well - will have to go for a walk this morning - at least the weather has improved.

oooww i had that same urge and after about 5 min in the shower with the nozzle on my back my waters broke. Im sure he will be fine. What Ive come to realise is that they say alot of things are not safe during pregnancy and could have all these different affects but its all because they dont really know what or if anything would happen.
After today tho I think on thurs (if I make it that far :)   Ill be opting to be induced asap now for Im just over it!

ausiegirl- Im in chch was wanting a home birth when we first found out but after talking to drs they didnt give me the choice and have to birth at chch womans. Ive been seen by a few specialists at the hospital throughout my pregnancy (due to previous medical condition) and see them on thurs to talk about inductions. I was just realy hoping it wouldnt come to that. Have been trying to do everything as natural as possible cos Im already taking medications that are a little riskiy to bubs but didnt have the choice to not take them. We havent made an appointment as yet - seeing how this week pans out! However early next week i will see the womens assessment team at waikato hosp to look at possible induction if bub hasnt arrived by then.

Im ok, have had some niggly pains over the weekend, nothing consistent though!
My midwife is back working today (she has every second weekend off) so anytime in the next 12 days will be fine with me!

Thanks, we are very proud. She is such a good baby, sleeps lots! Funny you think she looks like me, i can't see myself in her at all.

Argh, I went into labour on a Friday night and Chloe wasn't born until 7.44am Monday morning, I seriously hope that Caden doesn't make you wait another 20 hours!!!!! It sucks to be in labour for that long! Especially after having weeks of false labour too, which I remember you saying that you had (same as me).    I'm praying that your energy keeps up and that Caden takes it easy on you!! Thanks Jess,

I will just do a quick update and ill let jess do the rest cos Im in too much pain to type

At the moment contractions are 5 mins apart sometimes closer and getting very painful, so hopefully I can hack another few hours at home, then il go in.
Just cross your fingers these ones dont slow down again, otherwise Ill be off to middlemore.
