I went through a stage of miss reading his signs and kept feeding him instead of putting him to bed. They really don't need to be up very long, just feed and nappy change at 1 month. At 3 months Spencer is still only up for between 45mins to 1.5 hours and that is from the start of his feed. Make their nappy change their play time as well by singing or talking to them etc. Make sure that their daytime sleep routine is the same as the night one.

We've been using it for 9mths. Swaddling and a clear routine (in terms of feed, play, wrap, little cuddle, down for sleep with music on) help a lot. Also, when her put her down, allow her the first roar for 1 minute then go to her, reassure her and then stay with her until she is asleep. Try not to rock or anything but just pop your hand on her if she starts to get upset. The idea is you let them vent then try to keep them calm so they learn to go to sleep on their own but calm.

HTH
