If it is just wees will a quick wash be ok? and also is it ok to wash them on cold? We pretty much wash all our clothes on a quick wash, unless they are really soiled (like when I have been down the river with the dogs ) but have been washing the nappies differently as the instructions said hot wash but seems overkill if its just wees. Does it have to be hot for the absorbency?

Handmade Jewellery

We use persil ,which I have found to be great, but have recently begun using BEE "I'll be your gentle brute" gentle washing liquid, and I LOVE IT ir smells sooo nice. I bought it for her nappies (which I wash in hot on their own) but apparently it's not "reccomended" for them, so have bought Eco Store liquid, and am using up the BEE on her clothes.

I'm not really a believer in using different detergents for Kids, although I do have to say, I prefer Persil as it has fewer fillers, and my sensitive (and the kids sensitive) skin has never reacted with it, and I never never (on all of our clothes) use the "full amount" of washing powder unless everything is REALLY dirty, I only use about 3/4 of the "reccomended" amount.

I wash before wearing too, can't be too careful with pesticides etc

Some children have had reactions to ecostore product, so that was why we went for amolin.

We didn't use anything in the bath until very recently, just water and wash cloths and it really helped keep her skin soft (even with bathing her pretty much every day).

Lily reacted to zinc and castor oil nappy rash creams, so we just use bepanthen, it cleared up the burn style rash from the other cream in 2 days. Now I use a dab of it on the cuts she gives to herself with those pesky nails, and they heal a lot faster.

She had one little dress but found she was more comfortable in the soft cotton of bodysuits ect.

Wash clothes before she wore them. (I think about 3 times) And line dried it.

Didnt take tags off except for one that was irritating her.

I actually found it is better to bath baby just in water and a bit of shampoo about once a week on her hair in the beginning. McKayla will get a slight rash if you tried to use anything and actually got freaking burnt by Aquas cream. (we couldnt believe that.) Poor child screamed blue murder. Another bath didnt help. So good old Breastmilk on her helped.

Other thing that help is for mom not to wear strong perfume at all. Affects them quite a lot.
