She has done this three times. I asked the doctor about it and she said it's because she is so active. She looks fine and then she walks up to the furniture and puts her head down on it, bit of a giveaway. I really did think she was ready to give up one but apparently I was wrong.
Hayley

I think it's because he's so stuffed up and can't breath properly and because his ear huuurts. He's also lots more clingie and needs his mummy more as well as heaps more boobies! Has Summers sleep changes coincided with her having the flu and teething? Might change once she's feeling better? Well, fingers crossed anyways.
(Andy missed his wee gal pal Sumnmer today at coffee group :( )

    Author: Summersmummy
Subject: 10258
Posted: 27 August 2007 at 8:40pm

Hi,

My little girl is coming up 9 months old. Shes always been a good sleeper during the night, sleeping 12 hours and having 2 decent day sleeps, one of 2 hours in the morning and the other about an hour in the late afternoon. BUT......

Recently (like in the last week and a half), shes only sleeping for an hour in the morning and about 1/2 in the afternoon but by dinner time shes overtired, sometimes screaming while eating (with some nights having to feed her while shes having her bath and relaxed a bit), and in the last few nights shes taken ages to settle (like 1-2 hours) which is really unusal for her because she normally falls alseep with her dummy quite easily. Shes not waking up during the night.

Today, I made her stay up until about 11.30 and she slept till 2.30 and stayed up till bedtime at 7 and she seemed fine and relaxed (and fingers crossed has gone down for the night alright too). Does this mean that its time to change from 2 day sleeps to 1??

What age did your little ones drop a day sleep?? and how did you know it was the right time??
